You supply the AI keys. AI Recall, semantic search of Recall history, and Tidy require your own OpenAI and Voyage API keys. Those providers bill your accounts. Saved Recall history remains browsable without running a new AI search.

You operate the deployment. You own the Supabase backend, backups, and migration updates. Host the static app yourself, or use the planned included byo.jotnow.dev option when it becomes available.

No internal billing. The self-hosted app has no subscription, checkout, or billing-management screen.
